On June 17, 2022, a five-member delegation from China Southern Power Grid Group paid a visit to Tsinghua SEM to review existing partnerships and to explore new collaborations.
The China Southern Power Grid Group delegation, led by Li Rui, general manager of the Innovation Management Department, and Wei Junjie, deputy general manager of the policy research department, was received by the Dean of Tsinghua SEM, Professor Bai Chong-en and Tsinghua IGD team.
Professor Bai Chong-en welcomed the visit of China Southern Power Grid and introduced the current research projects on electricity-carbon market by Tsinghua SEM’s team.
Delegates from China Southern Power Grid Group shared their research plan on collaborative optimization strategy of green electricity trading, carbon trading and carbon border regulation mechanism (CBAM) for Chinese companies.
Then the two sides had a discussion on the reform and transformation of the electricity market and intend to carry out more scientific research cooperation on effectively using the market mechanism to promote the coordinated development of the electricity and carbon market.
