The Institute for Global Development (IGD), founded in 2016, is currently managed by the School of Economics and Management, and supported by the School of Public Policy & Management, School of Social Sciences, and School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University.

The Institute now has five main research areas: economic development and anti-poverty; international financial governance; international economic and trade relations; digital economy and global climate change.
