On July 11, 2022, the webinar with China Southern Power Grid Energy Development Research Institute was held to explore the opportunities for research partnership.
Zhang Liangdong, Dean of China Southern Power Grid Energy Development Research Institute, introduced the organizational structure, research team, research areas, as well as this year’s plan. He said that as a SOE think tank, the Institute looks forward to strengthening cooperation with Tsinghua, achieving breakthroughs in research and development in the fields of electricity and carbon economy.
BAI Chong-en said that green development and carbon neutrality goals have brought opportunities and challenges to China. IGD research team has carried out relevant research work on economic governance issues such as carbon pricing and electricity market reform, and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with leading think tanks in the field of energy economy and carbon economy, and promoting China's efficient realization of carbon neutrality goals.
The two institutes had in-depth exchanges on the research of electricity carbon market and electricity carbon economy, and discussed the cooperation intention in the research fields of electricity consumption and electricity price mechanism, etc.
